Summer is finally here in Winnipeg and I wanted to do a few more creative shoots! Taylor and Mike knew they wanted to do a campfire vibe but weren’t quite sure where to do it. After I got their questionnaire back I knew exactly where we were shooting – their backyard! They told me their ideal date night was cuddling on their couch by their patio fire with a couple rye and cokes. So that’s what we did.
Hanging out with Taylor and Mike was so special – their connection is just palpable. We barely moved from the couch, they just spent some quality time together while I did my thing!
Taylor told me they barely have any photos together because they dont fake smile (who does!?) – even though they laugh so much when they’re around each other! I was so happy to be able to give them some pictures that truly capture their relationship.
Every session is so different and each time we create an experience that’s true to you and capture photos that make you feel all the feels! I love those scrunched noses, giggle faces, and long looks. I go into each experience open to wherever you want to take it. This is for you – to create those intimate and wild memories, and strengthen your love.
As a photographer, I treasure those small moments and little details. They always make me feel more strongly, and more emotional, than your classic smiling at the camera shots. I’m not sure how many people print the close up photos of their hands, but to me that is what completes the story.
